UPDATE!!!
Foster Mom says: Mae has been a joy. She's had her first bath (actually a hose outside on a hot summer morning). She stood perfectly still and never complained. Her coat is the softest I've ever felt, even soaking wet. Mae is extremely smart; she's learned to sit on command, understands "no", and when she's headed down the hall for the master bedroom, understands when you say, "Mae, where are you going?", and promptly turns around to find some other direction. Mae has taught me how to play fetch with her new rubber ball. I say "taught me" because she initiated the play before I did, and I say rubber ball because she likes it better than tennis balls. She will give the "head tilt" when you say, "Mae where's your ball?", and is learning how to "drop it" when it's time to give it another toss. Mae also prefers to lay outside in the evenings on the concrete after the sun has set.
Mae, is a unique looking GS mix, rescued from TLAC. She is 6 months old weighing in at 26 lbs., she has gained at least 5 pounds since she was rescued. She is a mellow, smart girl that is crate trained, and almost housebroken. She has learned sit, come, walks well on a leash, and is very well socialized. She has not been around cats, but as young as she is she will probably be ok. She is spay, UTD on shots, ready for her loyal, lifelong companion.
