Thank you for your interest in our dogs.

To adopt a dog, a person must:

-Be an adult with the responsibility for maintaining a household.
-Have ID verifying address, such as a driver's license.
-Be able to provide for the training and veterinary care of the dog, and to pay an adoption fee to help cover the costs of rescue care.
-Have a fenced yard, or ability to build a fence prior to placing the dog in your home.
-Live in the Central Texas area, near Austin, or within 4 hours driving distance, if the adopter is willing to come to Austin to meet the dog. Sorry, due to our policies, we cannot do out-of-state adoptions.
German Shepherd Rescue Central Texas does not discriminate based on race, gender, religion, or national origin.

The form below is simply a way for us to gather some basic information for an initial screening. If you complete all fields, this will constitute your application. To complete the adoption, you will be required to sign an adoption contract. Click below to read the contract.

The fee for adopting a mixed breed or Shepherd mix is $100. The fee for adopting a purebred Shepherd is $150. These charges are assessed in order to offset the cost of vet work for the dogs. All our dogs are spayed/neutered before adoption, and are current on all shots.

Once you fill out the form, you should receive a follow-up call from one of our volunteers within 48 hours. If you do not hear from us within that time, please call 512-264-2478 to confirm that we received your form.
