Sucess Stories and Memorials

Here's why we do what we do: These wonderful dogs have found happy, loving homes. Please read their uplifting stories.

Chula

princesschula.jpg

Chula was adopted by a nice lady who lives in Houston, and thinks of Chula as her human child. The worst part is that now Chula thinks she's a human too - check her out above in her "princess costume". We wish ALL our dogs could be this spoiled and loved in their forever homes!

Timex and Brady

timex&brady.jpg

Timex and Brady were adopted at different times by Andy and Christine, a couple in Austin. Brady was adopted first, and has a whole language all her own that she speaks to her humans. Timex, formerly Amy, is The Princess of the house. She is an excellent guard dog, but quickly becomes a 'velcro dog' once she gets to know you.

Meet Samson

Samson was adopted by a friend of Rescue in Central Texas. He is now part of a large menagerie of pets at her home.

Thunder

Thunder was adopted by a family with two small boys, who, as you can see, adore Thunder. What a lucky, loved dog Thunder is now!

River and Heidi

River and Heidi were adopted at two different times by one of our volunteers, who is an APD officer.

Thekla

Thekla was adopted by a retired college professor. As you can see, she was a cute puppy, and is now a magnificent dog, who is being treated like a queen.

Gypsy

Gypsy was adopted by a nice couple in Austin, and went to live with them and be best friends with their other dog.

Spirit

Spirit, the smiling dog on the right, was adopted to become a real Texas dog, along with her compadre, Max (left).
